Anderwood Barn Dance

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

Sarah and her friend Sarah threw a barn dance a few weekends ago.  I snapped a few photos before setting down my camera and dancing the night away on my man's arm.

The two-man band was a husband and wife team from a nearby city. My sister-in-law's father stepped in later with the accordion, playing the chicken dance song. (It's hilarious to watch little kids try to get the rhythm of the motions of this dance.)

Denim and skirts.

Sarah and Sarah. A few nights before the dance I came home around midnight and found these two in the kitchen. They were taking a break from hanging fabric and stringing lights. (It's been a long time since I've thrown a party, and I'd forgotten about breaks at midnight.)
